| LAY-OFF (2) Definition: A period of time when somebody is not working or not doing something that they normally do regularly. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Planned or programmed. 2. Activity engaged in during period is appropriate, not illegal or one that will hamper regular activity after period is over. 3. Period is specific and identifiable (connect to #1). That is, not an endless duration. 4. No serious loss, disadvantage, etc. will be suffered during period, as a result of the 'holiday'. That is, no regret will be had for the period of rest. 5. What will be returned to, that is, duty or activity, after period is ended, will still be possible to be done as expected. 6.
