LAW AND ORDER (1)

Definition: When there is law and order in a country, the laws are generally accepted and obeyed, so that society there functions normally.

1. Purposeful and necessary for the citizens and foreigners alike.

2. The criminal justice system and law-enforcement will be of excellent standard. That is, rule of law and justiciary in the particular nation will reign supreme and be reliable.

3. Respect (= acceptance and obedience) for the laws will not be out of trepidation of the rulers, a lynch mob, the high-handedness or wickedness of the police, militia, military, etc.

4. Criminalization, misdirection by a judge, miscarriage of justice, etc. that will result in a loss, disadvantage, inconvenience, etc. for victim or sufferer will not exist on a large scale.

5. (Reserved.) (Laws in the statutes can be challenged. And where law is a dead letter, this will not result in considerable social or economic loss to the citizenry or general public.) (To emphasize.)

6. Unlawfulness and illegality, if decided to be punished, will be met with the stiffest punishment in the books. That is, there will be zero tolerance and plea bargain will not be a practice in country.

7. A particular law or set of laws will not be in line or due for a review, prohibition or abolition at the particular point in time. That is, the constitution or ground rules will be solid and stable.

8. Normalcy will be sustained for period desired by all or the majority. That is, where a change in a law is required, this will not be delayed by parliamentary processes or executive procedures.
