| LAUGHING STOCK Definitions: i. A person that everyone laughs at because they have done something stupid. ii. If you say that a person or an organization has become a laughing stock, you mean that they are supposed to be important or serious but have been made to seem ridiculous. ______________________________________________________________________ * All should be in ... * Or you say so if ... A. Person or organization gave a pledge, commitment, assurance, etc. or showed a promise to be good or turn out useful and well, and then ended up 'nil' or being the opposite. B. All that would have been required to do a (the) sensible thing or to remain important and serious would have been provided or made available to person or organization. C. Who says/laughs (= you?!) did not contribute to foolish act or to the lessening or decline of the status of derided person or organization. D. No likely additional support or further assistance, from any source, will be offered or available to flop or failure. E. Nonsense, incompetence, howler, mismanagement, inefficiency, failure, etc. shown or displayed is clearly in the public domain. F. No chance to make up for stupidity, no hope or expectation of a miracle or manna, bailout or subsidy, etc. for the scorned person or organization. And human or group has no natural, latent and inherent endowment or resources that can be harnessed in the future. G. Pain, disadvantage, loss, etc. that stupidity or ridiculousness will bring about will be enormous, irretrievable, etc. H. No acceptable excuse, deserved scapegoat, reasonable justification, plausible rationalization, etc. will be offered or produced for stupidity or ridiculousness. I. No lesson will be learned from stupidity, and no use, benefit, gain, etc. will be obtainable from person or organization. And a prospect or promise will not be seen in the situation. J. Person or organization will still be taking situation and also treating himself/herself/itself as important and serious. That is, effect of stupid action has not been felt, and person or group has not truly realized folly or foolhardiness. K. Who or what you are giving names is not in a position to strike back or fightback, cannot harm you or play a spoilsport's role! ____________ A-OK ?! not 'kk'.
