| LANDING (2) Definition: An act of bringing an aircraft or a spacecraft down to the ground after a journey. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Purposeful - to leave the skies. 2. Considered a necessity to land aircraft or spacecraft. 3. Destination - runway, airstrip, station, etc. is the right one. 4. Speed from approach to and after touchdown is appropriate. 5. Act is performed on the permission of ground control, unless it is an emergency situation such as a hijacking, etc. 6. All the necessary procedures are undertaken by pilot or captain or terrorist 'driver' ! 7. No emergency will make plane take-off after initial touchdown. 8. Taxing or movement ends at the right place or area (connect to #4). 9. No unplanned loss is suffered or experienced as a result of act. That is, tyres, undercarriage, etc. do not get damaged after touchdown. And passenger(s), and/or crew, if any, are not inconvenienced as a result of the manner of descent and/or touchdown. 10.
