| LANDFILL (2) Definition: The process of burying large amounts of waste material. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Dumping ground or site is selected and prepared, after approval, where necessary, is obtained to dump unwanted items. 3. Material is collected or gathered in the right place(s). And it is ensured that nothing of value can be found in the 'rubbish'. 4. Transportation and movement of wastes to site takes place, without any remnant(s) being dropped on the way to site. 5. Waste are delivered completely to dump space or opening in ground. 6. Appropriate actions or activities (= processes and procedures) to ensure healthiness of the environment are complied with. That is, covering, sealing, fumigation, etc. is done after waste is buried. 7. Process achieves objective(s) (connect to #6). 8.
