| LAMPOON Definition: A piece of writing that criticizes somebody/something and makes them or it look ridiculous: a personal satire. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for critic and 'jester'. 2. Criticism is fact-based. That is, what is claimed as bad or wrong in person or thing, can be proved by critic. 3. Condemnation is thorough, specific, identifiable and direct. 4. What ought to be the right and proper thing or situation, condition, etc., is/are stated in the critical comments made. 5. No understanding or pity is shown for errors, howlers, etc. And no let-up all through the period that criticisms lasts. And no single credit or commendation will be given for 'bad' attempts or efforts made! And no likely positive prospect, in person or thing, will be pointed out by the critic. 6. (Reserved.)
