| LAME DUCK (3) Definition: (popular) An elected officer or group that lost a bid for reelection but continues to hold office until the term expires. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Lost after a hard-fought battle for reelection. 2. Won't be contesting loss in a tribunal or court. 3. Period remaining would not be considered as long. 4. Outgoing official or group can't be elected again. 5. Control will not be slipping gradually at the time. 6. Loss which office-holder suffers won't be crippling. 7.
