Definition: (disapproving) A person who is treated like a servant or who behaves like one: a servile follower.

1. Purposeful (?) to treat a person, or necessary (?) for the person to behave, like a servant.

2. There is an awareness of how person is being regarded or a realization or an acceptance of the meaning given to behaviour. That is, person is ordinarily not a 'fool'.

3. Person treating expects a gain from attitude and the one behaving does not foresee a loss, in his or her own opinion (connect to #4).

4. Person 'acting' as a servant will suffer a serious loss, whether this is immediately realized or not. And 'boss' will enjoy some benefit from situation.

5. There is no compulsion to remain in situation. That is, 'servant' can leave environment, event, etc. without a repercussion.

6. An opportunity to leave state will not be taken, if this is presented, even without a precondition.

7. 'Servant' will try to justify situation or will ask for an understanding by critic(s) (connect to #6).

8. No physicality will be involved in relation or activities during period of voluntary servitude. That is, person would, strictly speaking, not be considered or thought as a 'slave'. In other words, no prosecution will arise from situation.

9. Situation - treatment or behaviour - serves purpose(s), whatever this/these is/are, for all the parties involved.
