Labourer
LABOURER

Definition: (British English) A person whose job involves hard physical work that is not skilled, especially work that is done outdoors.

1. Purposeful and necessary.

2. Physically healthy and well; fit and strong.

3. Has all, or is provided with all, the equipment and tools necessary to execute or perform task.

4. (Reserved.) (Appropriately dressed or clothed, registered or employed, insured (?) or protected, etc., as applicable, and as necessary, for particular work.)

5. Can learn and improve on the job - not become skillful, but good enough to do work better, more effectively and efficiently.

6. Will not suffer an unplanned loss as a result of 'hard labour'. That is, person's strength will not fail and lack of skill will not result in an injury, etc.!

7. Has no intention to consider acquiring better, relevant skill, qualification, etc., especially because this person cannot become eligible or qualified to learn something different and better anew.

8. Gets dues as stated in labour laws or as agreed with employer. That is, person is treated properly and is, therefore, not in a position to cause or participate in an industrial unrest. In other words, unskilled worker serves purpose(s), as exactly hoped for.
