| LABOUR MARKET Definition: (British English) The number of people who are available for work in relation to the number of jobs available. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. People available are qualified or eligible. 2. Availability is matched with a readiness and ability. 3. Conditions guiding employment will be known to applicants or job seekers to be able to confirm suitability for vacancies or openings. 4. Tendency for likely employment to be automated soon, or an impending mechanization, or the inevitable closure of factories, etc., as applicable, is taken into consideration to be able to know the numbers available. 5. The jobs are legal and regulated or monitored accordingly - not vacancies in the underground economy. And not openings that will be taken up as second jobs by those already employed elsewhere (To emphasize.) 6. People or persons making up the numbers (= presently in employment) do not include those who ought to be on retirement or terminal leave, not on renewable contract engagement, etc. 7. New entrants - labour; skilled or unskilled, - will not be leaving employment soon after securing work.
