| L-PLATE Definitions: i. (in Britain and some other countries) A white sign with a large letter L on it, that you put on a car when you are learning to drive. ii. (usually L-plates) In Britain, L-plates are signs with a red 'L' on them which you attach to a car to warn other drivers that you are a learner. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful to have sign on (see definition). 2. Considered a vital necessity to warn others. 3. Sign will be readable and/or clearly visible. 4. The letter 'L' will be on conspicuously or prominently. 5. Ink used will have a quality of effulgence and permanence. 6.
