Definitions:

i. A person who has training and experience in a job but who is only average at it.

ii. (Journalism) If you refer to someone as a journeyman, you mean they have the basic skill which their job requires, but are not very talented or original.

1. Had quality training and has gathered appropriate cognate experience. And performed well during period of training, while he or she is in a very conducive working environment.

2. Cannot have a scapegoat for 'poor' performance: was given the wherewithal, had enough time and space, etc. to do better than average. Will, therefore, give no reason for 'incompetence'.

3. Not trying harder even as more efforts could be put into task.

4. Will not be asked to mentor an up and coming employee. And cannot be trusted with higher responsibilities. And will not be recommended for a higher position, except ...

5. Will be satisfied with average 'lifestyle' - not complaining about station or comparing state or status with that of another, if any, especially one who had same training and has same experience, but who has made more progress by achieving better results or recording greater accomplishments.

6. Does not look for new challenges. And will not ordinarily dare as most things will look like 'impossible' for this average achiever.
