| INVITATION (2) Definition: The act of inviting somebody or of being invited. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary by who invites. 2. Act has the backing of an authority or is officially approved. That is, invite is issued by the properly recognized authority. 3. Done or sent and/or received timely. 4. Clear and specific - cannot be misconstrued for some other thing. That is, measure or form of invite, whether a letter or card, gesture, verbal, etc. is right and appropriate for intended event. 5. Made directly to the person being invited. Or made, if through a third party, with the certainty that request will be passed on. 6. There is an ability or a capacity, and a willingness or readiness, by who is making request, to provide what ought to be available, if invite is honoured. 7.
