Intransigence
INTRANSIGENCE

Definition: (formal, disapproving) (of people) An unwillingness to change their opinions or behaviour in a way that would be helpful to others.

1. Purposeful and considered a necessity by the stubborn party.

2. Person will have an awareness or understanding, that others will benefit if a change of opinions or behaviour happens.

3. A clear and genuine appeal, request, etc. will be made for person to have a change of mind or behaviour, which will be totally rejected.

4. Nothing would be lost, if opinions or behaviour were/was changed.

5. Person being difficult will have some sort of 'strange' fulfillment from refusal to change.

6. Others who could have been helped will incur serious losses as a direct result of unwillingness.
