INTERVIEW (3)

Definitions:

i. [ ~ (with somebody) ] A meeting (often a public one) at which a journalist asks somebody questions in order to find out their opinions.

ii. A meeting between a press, radio or television reporter and a person who is to be the subject of an article.

1. Purposeful and necessary - to educate, for publicity, advertising, etc.

2. The person or intended subject of an article will have no foreknowledge of the questions, comments, etc to be asked.

3. There will be no hidden or electronic recording of the proceedings without the interviewee's knowledge, and especially, his or her permission.
