| INSTITUTIONALIZATION Definition: The act of making something become part of an organized system, society or culture so that it is considered normal. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, for person(s)/group/authority that attempts and does act. 2. Status of thing as outsider is established before start of process. 3. Rules, dos and don'ts, methodologies, etc. are introduced to who has dealings with particular thing. 4. Restrictive practices, limiting conditions, rules or regulations that would have prevented full integration would be lifted. 5. Ceremonies, certification, initiation, etc. (where applicable), that would confer acceptance, authority, etc., would be performed or issued. 6. Expulsion, extermination, dismissal, rejection, etc. of the thing, would be assured or guaranteed, as being impossible, in situation. 7. Thing gets the required liberty and/or freedom and is able to contribute positively to the progress, development or advancement of system, society or culture. 8. No law will be enacted to confirm validity of acceptance of or on thing.
