| INSPECTION (1) Definition: An official visit to a school, factory, etc. in order to check that rules are being obeyed and that standards are acceptable. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (connect to #2). 2. Authorized or approved, as required (connect to #3). 3. Undertaken at very short notice and/or at the right time - as confirmed from a last visit, if any, or as demanded by custom/regulation. (To emphasize.) 4. Visit will be a 'no-holds barred'. That is, all relevant or necessary enquiries are made and every vital place in the production or manufacturing process is visited and examined. 5. Adequate period is available. That is, visit is not rushed, or program is not made shorter as a result of time constraints. (Connect to #4.) ____________________________ 6. Sole member is, or members of team are, qualified and knowledgeable. And the team is complete and prepared or ready/mobilized for exercise. 7. Infractions, substandard practices and procedures, etc., if any, are pointed out during a visit, to school authority/teachers, factory managers/workers, etc. (Connect to #8.) 8. Full and appropriate cooperation is secured from school staff/students, factory managers/workers, etc. during visit. 9. A report will be made or written, by the inspector(s), after conclusion of visit, and delivered or submitted to the appropriate authority. (Connect to #10.) 10.
