| INSENSITIVITY (1) Definition: The state or quality of not realizing or caring how other people feel, and therefore likely to hurt or offend them. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. There is a capability or an ability to be aware or to recognize how others feel. That is, person's senses are still in working order. 2. Reaction or response, if any, to attempts that will be made for person to realize a situation or care about people will be completely inappropriate, if not outright rude. 3. Person believes that he or she is insulated from, or can cope with, the problems of life that may lead to him or her requiring empathy or sympathy, help or understanding, etc. from other people. 4. Nonchalant or uncaring person will suffer no loss, immediately or in the future, even if nothing is gained, from bad or negative behaviour. 5. No effort will be made to explain, defend or justify indifferent or uncaring quality. (What apology? What for? To who? How? Why? Damn!) 6. No deliberate act or action will be done to worsen the situation that others are in; it's like a devil-may-care attitude. 7. Won't react or respond negatively when he or she is at the receiving end. That is, a harm or an insult that may come from others, will be borne by this person who earlier caused some hurt or an offence to others. ________________ ... TO HELL ! | |
