| INQUISITIVENESS (1) Definition: (disapproving) The situation of asking too many questions and trying to find out about what other people are doing. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for busybody. 2. Questions or enquiries are asked or made in a clear, direct manner. 3. Situation will involve repetitions, insistence, persistence, etc. That is, effort will not be abandoned at a first obstacle - on the receipt of an (the) initial 'no comment' or 'No' ! 4. The person asking or searching has the capacity to know the correct answer(s) and to identify the right result(s). 5. Appropriate response or reaction will be given or offered to the questions or searches. 6. Relationship between the persons or parties involved will not be strained as an outcome of prying. 7. Information obtained will be useful and serve purpose(s). 8. No illegal, unauthorized or unapproved method will be adopted in trying to get details.
