Does not add any value or enhance any positive quality - will not be appreciated, if available. 2. Has a shortcoming: incomplete; inappropriate; inconveniencing; undesirable; dangerous; etc. - will not be missed, if unavailable. 3. Considered or thought, by who decides that thing is needless, that it is some 'nonsense' - inconsistent and needlessly complex - will not conform/obey, be used or useful, or be accepted and/or understood. 4. Not unavailable. That is, would not be unnecessary only because it could not be obtained or would be unobtainable. 5. Cannot be required or needed because it is legal, approved, authorized, moral, ethical, safe, endorsed, compulsory, etc. - thing will, therefore, cause a loss, embarrassment, disadvantage, mistake, etc., etc. 6. Function that thing would have performed is being or would be effectively accomplished by some other thing. Or function need not be performed again.
