Induction course
INDUCTION COURSE

Definition: (British English) A training course for new employees, students, etc. that is designed to give them a general introduction to the business, school, etc.

* All seven elements should be in.


1. Purposeful and considered necessary.

2. Adequately detailed in respect of the basics - tour, inspection, practice, etc. That is, program is adjudged to be in order, as determined by employer, school authority, etc.

3. All newly employed or admitted workers or students participate.

4. Training goes without a hitch. That is, duration that it lasts is as planned for.

5. The approved budget is not exceeded in the course of training. That is, no equipment is damaged, destroyed, stolen, etc. And inductees are not wounded or injured, such that a requirement arises for an unplanned expenditure by employer/school.

6. Training achieves objective(s) - familiarity, cooperation, efficiency, effectiveness, etc.

7. No new employee or student is retrenched or dismissed, rusticated or withdrawn, immediately on completion of training.
