| INDOLENCE Definition: A situation or condition of not wanting to work. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for the person who is lazy. 2. There is some important work to do or a vital task to perform. 3. State of health - mind and body - is good enough for person's energy to be expended on or used for an endeavour. And no impediments whatsoever - not time, space, resources, help, law, rule, regulation, custom, etc. - is (put) in the way, to prevent person from doing work. 4. Work, if done, would bring benefit, gain, profit, advantage, etc. to the doer in particular (to emphasize). 5. Quality will not be proudly displayed. That is, some justification would usually be proffered for negative behaviour or bad attitude. 6. No attempt would be made to try to do thing (= work) or to attempt to confirm 'difficulty' in doing thing (= working). 7. A loss will arise, surely, from the condition, either soon after a refusal to do thing or much later, by way of a sanction, missed opportunity, etc. 8. Situation lasts and lasts and lasts..., for as long as no force or compulsion will make lazybones to 'get off' his or her ass. 9. (Reserved.) (Reward for work would not be refused or rejected, if offered or extended to the indolent one, especially if work was eventually done by some other person(s).
