Definition: The act of saying or doing something without thinking about the effect it may have, especially when this embarrasses or offends somebody.

2. Talker or doer is in the normal (= right?) frame of mind at the time of talk or action.

3. No impediment to rethinking or reviewing situation prior to when speech is made or before act is performed.

5. Effect causes a loss for all involved, in the long run, whether an excuse, explanation, etc., is offered later or not. (And gain that indiscreet person will get will be temporary or brief.)

6. There will be no opportunity to apologize for error of judgement, when 'stupidity' is realized (connect to #5).

7. (Reserved.) (Possible dangers or risks in not thinking thoroughly before talk or action, is seen or thought of, even if briefly or slightly, before act.)
