| INDEPENDENCY (2) Definition: The Congregationalist principle that the local congregation or church is an independent body free from Ecclesiastical control: congregationalism. ______________________________________________________________________ * Principle will be based on all seven elements being in. 1. Believed purposeful and necessary by the proponents. 2. Administration will be conducted as locally determined. 3. Non-cooperation with other branches will not be penalized. 4. Collection won't be shared, as there is no 'foreign investor'. 5. Members will be united; church, a sole unit without subsidiary. 6. Its leader(s) cannot participate in a hagiocracy or hierocracy. 7.
