| ATTRITION MINEFIELD Definition: (military) In naval mine warfare, a field intended primarily to cause damage to enemy ships. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful for who places mines (see definition). 2. Considered necessary to damage enemy ships (to emphasize). 3. Mine capacity will be appropriate to cause maximum destruction. 4. The route or routes of the enemy's warships would be known. 5. No unplanned loss - to own or to friendly forces - occurs in field. 6. Intention will be satisfied. That is, mines serve purpose(s). 7.
