| INAUGURAL (1) Definition: (especially North American English) (of an official speech, meeting, etc.) The quality or state of being the first and marking the beginning of something important, for example the time when a new leader or parliament starts work, when a new organization is formed or when something is used for the first time. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. (A new dawn ...) 2. Legal and official; approved and/or authorized. (... it's like a reality check.) 3. Not a repeat happening or occurrence, arising from an earlier inconclusive or incomplete try. (No confusion or dispute.) 4. Well organized or conducted, arranged, delivered, etc. That is, talks, decisions, etc. makes meaning. (No mix-up, mistake, improvisation, etc. that lessens its richness.) 5. No unplanned loss arises from the event. (And audience, attendees, etc. stay all through the ceremonies.) 6. Event or occasion is recorded and documented appropriately.
