Definition: A situation of not knowing very much about a particular subject area.

1. What is known is the unimportant, 'unserious' part.

2. Opportunity or chance to know more is available or provided, though this is not taken by the 'illiterate'. That is, a chance to question, examine, study in detail, etc. subject area was not denied.

3. An ability to understand/comprehend is possessed (to emphasize).

4. Loss arising from limited knowledge is not little and is of the serious kind (connect to #1).

5. Effort will be made afterwards to increase or know much more in area of subject matter, of which only a little is already known.
