Purposeful and necessary. 2. Thing has been confirmed as a reality or of a serious worth. That is, irrefutable proof is available to support position that thing is present and of importance. 3. Acknowledgment of presence or influence is made timely. 4. Arising from the confirmation of its reality or value/usefulness, thing is treated appropriately, with respect, reverence/honour, emphasis, etc., as necessary. 5. Process achieves objective(s). That is, what is hoped to be gained from recognition is obtained. 6. Recognition lasts throughout the period that thing is present or relevant.
