| IDEALIZATION (1) Definition: A situation of considering or representing somebody/something as being perfect or better than they really are. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful for who makes portrayal (to emphasize). 2. Considered a necessity to idealize person/thing. 3. The perfect or required standard is known. 4. Person or thing is known as not perfect or not up to scratch. That is, a certainty about the imperfection or the less than projected standard exists. 5. Subject cannot, while under a consideration or representation, do a thing to reveal his/her/its true qualities. 6. Consideration is thorough or representation is completely believed. 7.
