| HUSTINGS (1) Definition: (usually - the hustings) (especially British English) The political meetings, speeches, etc. that take place in the period before an election. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Main feature will be to reiterate and be a reminder of previous meetings or speeches. 3. Agenda of meeting is usually brief and contents of talk is usually in a summary form. 4. The time that activities would take should usually be short and it would also end promptly. 5. Answers to questions or explanations to queries, where required, are never detailed or comprehensive. 6. (Reserved.) (New demands, requests, support, etc. will be met with tentative approval or consideration of promises, assurances, commitments, etc.) 7.
