| HUMAN SHIELD Definition: If a group of people are used as a human shield in a battle or war, they are put in a particular place so that the enemy will be unwilling to attack that place and harm them. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (see definition). 2. Not gathered originally to be used as 'cannon fodder'. 3. Vehement protest will be put up by persons in group. 4. Visible to, or recognizable, by the enemy. 5. Group will, if attacked, cause serious problems for 'killers'. 6. Secured and protected by 'captors' for as long as required. 7. Fed and sustained; kept alive, as long as threat of attack exists. 8.
