Definition: (disapproving) A house or room that is not fit to live in because it is dirty or in very bad condition: a small or wretched dwelling place: a shed.

1. Cannot be quickly or immediately cleaned, tidied, fumigated, etc. to be of a habitable standard.

2. Cannot be immediately repaired, mended or fixed (connect to #1). And it cannot be made compulsory to temporarily occupy place.

3. Nothing beneficial or important can be got or learned, if house or room is stayed in, in condition. And no purpose will be served by staying in filthy or unpleasant place.

5. House or room will eventually decay (from dirt) or collapse (from weakness). That is, filthiness or danger will not disappear for place to become livable or habitable.
