| HOUSEMASTER Definition: (especially British English) A teacher in charge of a group of children, (called a house), in a school, especially a private school. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Always available or present or reachable. And/or ever close to dormitory or hall of residence. 3. Asks about and/or helps with academic progress and issues of students (where possible and necessary). 4. Shows excellent examples for students to follow. 5. Does not show bias or preference to any student, even if he has a favourite amongst them. And never gets excessively close to any, especially if student is of the opposite sex. 6.
