| HOMESICKNESS Definition: Sadness that is caused because you are away from home and you miss your family and friends. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. You have been away for a period that you think is 'too long'. 2. Contact or communication with home, if any, is ineffective or believed inadequate. That is, news from home is scarce, rare. 3. Confirmed conditions at home, or the situation expected if home is reached, is peace, fun, joy, etc. 4. What you are involved in while away is not exactly a fully exciting, engaging endeavour. 5. New reliable friends, or loving new 'family' have not been made in new temporary habitation. 6. (Reserved.) (You are not sick in temporary residential place. Or you are being given adequate and appropriate medical care, if ill/sick. That is, you are not missing home because of ill health and the better care that you think home will provide.). 7. No likelihood of going home soon, temporarily or finally. 8.
