| HOME BIRTH Definition: If a woman has a home birth, she gives birth to her baby at home rather than in a hospital. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight or nine elements, as applicable, should be in. 1. Has a purpose for wanting baby. 2. Considers it necessary to take pregnancy to term. 3. Has a valid justification for not going to a hospital. 4. The appropriate kind of help will be close by, if required, especially if a medical emergency arises during process. 7. Delivery goes well, as planned, self-delivered or assisted.
