| HOLIDAY (1) Definition: (also - holidays) (British English) A period of time when you are not at work or school. ______________________________________________________________________ * All twelve elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (connect to #2, to emphasize). 2. Considered a necessity, whether 'deserved' or not (connect to #3). 3. Not forced or unplanned. That is, period is known beforehand. 4. Spent at location desired (= destination of choice). 5. No serious outstanding task (= duty) or assignment (= homework, project, etc.) is left unattended to, while 'off and away'. 6. No visit to, or contact with, office or institution during period. 7. What is done while away, will not negatively affect, disrupt or disturb resumption at work or school. And is not illegal, such that a continuation or completion of work or academics is put in jeopardy. 8. Duration is considered as appropriate - not too short to be frustrating or too long to end up becoming boring. 9. Full independence or freedom is assured during period. That is, no condition will be attached by employers or school authority on how and where and what the time is to be spent on. 10. Period serves purpose(s), as exactly hoped for, however, wherever or with whoever it is spent with. And resumption happens at the time and/or date expected. 11. Activities engaged in during period do not damage the environment or destroy the ecosystem or habitats of animals. 12. No unplanned loss arises from the time spent away from work or school - no indebtedness, illness, hate, etc. as a direct result of the activities or events participated in while on vacation. _________________ * ENJOY IT. | |
