| HOGWASH (1) Definitions: i. (informal, especially North American English) An idea, argument, etc. that you think is stupid. ii. (informal, disapproving) If you describe what someone says as hogwash, you think it is nonsense. iii. Thin worthless stuff. ______________________________________________________________________ * Thought, claim or description will be valid if ... a. You were in a proper frame of mind at the time. b. You possess the intelligence to understand and appreciate. c. You heard clearly all that was proposed, canvassed or propounded. d. There was adequate time for you to try to decipher the utterance. e. You demanded an explanation or a clarification, where necessary, and still ended up not being convinced about the usefulness of talk. f. No substantial time was spent pondering over the thing said and heard, after the conclusion that it is senseless had been drawn. g. You will not quote or use or mention 'rubbish' in a beneficial way.
