ABANDONMENT (1)

Definition: (law) The giving up of intent.

1. Timely. That is, when it will not result into the unintended loss of a cherished person or thing.

2. Complete renunciation of the thing involved.

3. Full repudiation of the feeling for/of a thing or person.

4. Going so far away physically that, new circumstances make a return to a thing or person impossible, either in the present or in the future.

5. Vehemently and totally denies/deny or dissociates from a previous relationship/knowledge.

6. Giving up or surrendering without a fight, when there should have been some resistance, no matter how little or brief.
