Purposeful, even if not necessary or defensible. Or known. 2. Cause(s) or source(s) is/are specific and identifiable. 3. Has a life of its own; cannot be 'controlled', reduced or lessened, while it exists. 4. There is an outlet for which it can be made to escape. That is, does not cause an embarrassment, inconvenience, etc. And does not or will not be allowed to boil over! 5. Lasts for an appropriate or desired period of time. 6. Brings no unplanned loss. And does not lead to a wrong, an offence, a crime, etc., being committed (connect to #4). 7. Strong feelings are measurable and/or assessable. 8. Strong feelings come about or develop naturally.
