| HEARER Definition: A person who hears something or who is listening to somebody. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Person has a purpose for listening or paying attention. 2. Considers it a necessity to hear what is being said. 3. Uses no hearing aid or hearing dog (to emphasize). 4. (Reserved.) (Person is the right man/woman, even if what is heard will be passed on to another.) 5. Person's sense of hearing is excellent, whatever state he or she is at the time of talk, etc. (connect to #3, #4 & #6). 6. Listens attentively all through the period of talk, speech, presentation, conversation, etc. 7. The person's memory or power of recall - not necessarily of understanding - is superb. 8. Suffers no unplanned loss, physically or physiologically, psychologically or emotionally, as a direct result of what is heard. 9. Does something - use, storage, transmission, etc. - with what he or she she spent time listening to.
