| HEADQUARTERS Definition: A place from which an organization or a military operation is controlled; the people who work there. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Accessible, welcoming and friendly to employees or 'own forces'. That is people and environment can be approached by the members of organization or the country's armed forces. (To emphasize.) 3. Well-manned. That is, peopled by the appropriately trained and qualified and approved personnel - military leaders, bosses, commanders, etc. who have the answers/solutions to the political, administrative, strategic, tactical, etc. problems of the organization or the country (= force). 4. Adequately equipped and/or furnished. That is, all relevant and modern tools, devices, technology-driven machinery, etc. are available and functional in place. 5. Safe, secured and protected, especially from terrorist(s) and fifth columnist(s)! (Connect to #2.) 6. Clean, neat and tidy - posing no health problem for people and causing no damage to the environment. 7. Structure is well-built. And/or the ambience or atmosphere of place is convenient and conducive for directing and controlling affairs, or for commanding (military) operation. 8. Organizational and administrative arrangements in place are excellent and therefore the activities undertaken are efficiently and effectively performed. 9. Place has a 'boss' and a deputy or someone who acts as the boss or leader, especially in the absence of the substantive head.
