| HARD POWER Definitions: i. Hard power is the use of military and economic means to influence the behavior or interests of other political bodies. This form of political power is often aggressive, and is most effective when imposed by one political body upon another of lesser military and/or economic power. ii. Coercive approach to international political relations, especially one that involves the use of military power. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for the wicked aggressor(s). 2. Use of method(s) will be justifiable under international law. 3. War expenditure will not cripple the 'high and mighty'. 4. Use occurs 'timely', before exhausting the easier (better) options. 5. Achieves goal(s) as exactly hoped for (connect to #6). 6. Defeated power(s) will not be compensated, if they seek redress. 7.
