Definition: (British) The act of transferring the responsibility for an office, together with the relevant documents, moneys, etc., to its new owners.

1. Detailed. That is, open and true – no fake currency or dud cheques, originals (not photocopies, unless applicable) of documents, etc.

2. At appropriate time as stated by the authority or as agreed between the parties involved.

3. If necessary and/or demanded, a verbal brief should be included.

4. All doubts, questions, queries etc, if any, needing clarification must be satisfactorily resolved before completion of the exercise.

5. Complete and correct (connect to #1 above the line).

6. Witnessed, where appropriate or necessary.

7. Documented - visual, audio, etc.
