| GUIDED WRITING Definition: In language teaching, when students do guided writing activities, they are given an outline in words or pictures to help them write. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, in the teacher's opinion. 2. Outline will be complete and correct, not a puzzle or jigsaw. 3. Clues or keys, if needed, will be provided with words or pictures. 4. An aid such as an interpreter, a dictionary, thesaurus, etc. will not be available for learner's benefit. And teacher, if close by, will not give any hint or assistance to students, acts only as an invigilator, a supervisor, etc. 5. Activity serves purpose(s) or achieves goal(s). (Connect to #6.) 6.
