| GREETINGS CARD Definition: (British English) A card with a picture on the front and a message inside that you send to somebody on a particular occasion such as their birthday. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize). 2. Considered a necessity to buy and send card - even if the sender does not really mean well for the addressee. 3. Picture is appropriate - not one that can upset feelings, bring back bad memories, etc. (Connect to #2.) 4. Picture is clear and bright. 5. Message printed inside card is appropriate and requires no additional handwritten missive or 'sermon'. 6. (Reserved.) (Size of card is considered adequate for the postbox and the status of intended recipient.) 7. Card will be 'signed'. That is, sender's details will be on card. 8.
