GREENHORN (1)

Definition: (informal, especially North American English) A person who has little experience and can be easily tricked.

1. Person is learning or acquiring knowledge at the time. That is, person already has a limited knowledge or understanding.

2. Uncertain what to do, or who to contact, in a particular situation, or in an emergency.

3. Inexperience will lasts for only some time, whether person ends up being tricked or not (connect to #1 & #5).

4. Never on the lookout or watch out for the trickster, as he or she is not expecting to be tricked.

5. Will never be tricked twice on or over the same issue. That is, person will learn from being tricked once.

6. Where person is tricked, a serious loss will occur to the individual or organization (where applicable), whether he or she is sanctioned or not.
