| GRANT AID Definition: (British English) Money given by the government to organizations or local areas. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary by the government. 2. Requested or requisitioned for. Or if given without a request, appropriate approvals or authorizations are made. (Connect to #3.) 3. Act is not an illegality. That is, sum is in the budget or a formal appropriation is made before release. 4. What money is to be spent on is left to the discretion of recipient.
