| GOOD GUY Definition: (usually plural) (North American English, informal) You can refer to the good characters in a film or story as the good guys. Purposeful and necessary, characterized or genuine. 2. Constantly and permanently on the side of the law. 3. Always obeying or complying with rules and regulations. 4. Maintains the moral high ground in an unforeseen emergency. 5. Hates the bad, and dislikes 'the ugly', that is if he or she is not attempting to win them over to the good side. 6. Plays scripted role in film or story, or performs creditably in real life, no matter a temptation or difficulty. That is, achieves goal(s) or serves purpose(s). 7. Will or certainly can, if necessary, especially to survive, play the bad guy role or be a 'bad' guy!, even if only for a short while.
