| GIRLHOOD Definition: (old-fashioned) The time when somebody is a girl; the fact of being a girl. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. * This sure not about some fact. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Not introduced at the time to adult things, by parent(s) or guardian(s) or teacher(s) or babysitter(s), etc. That is, she will have fond memories, in the future or in later life, of her 'girlie years'. (Connect to #5.) 3. Plays (and prays!) as girls do, ... with toys, girls and boys. And has some level of 'supervised' freedom. That is, she is allowed to talk and asks questions and/or search and explore reasonably! 4. Dreams of her knight in shining armour - for her older years - even if she will end up as unmarried, or as a man-hater, or maneater. 5. Engaged happily and positively in schooling, training, a mentoring programme, etc. - not in child labour or in the sex trade. And not abused in any way, whatsoever. 6. Kisses many 'toads' (read boys!), even if only in secret places or dark alleys. (Connect to #2 & #3.) But no more! 7. Will be spent listening to the older and wiser females - women, aunts, nieces, etc. - who, hopefully, will give sensible advice to the future mother! 8.
