| GIMMICK (1) Definition: (often disapproving) An unusual trick or unnecessary device that is intended to attract attention or to persuade people to buy something. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize). 2. Considered a necessity for the person(s) doing the unusual or using unnecessary, to adopt tactics to achieve aim(s). 3. Well-thought out or planned ahead, taking care to avoid what may jeopardize success of plan. 4. No unplanned loss will be suffered by who plays gimmickry. 5. Achieves objective(s). That is, trick will not be seen through or device will not be possible to be 'decoded'. 6. A loss or losses occur, by way of wasted time, worthless expenditure, etc. to who is duped. 7. No serious issue, such as a fight or fisticuffs, legal suit, enmity, etc., arises from the 'game' played. ______________________________________________ it's not funny, ...
